Ceramics

My clay work includes carving and distortion, pinched edges, and smashed forms. I delight in making things extra thin or thick, and gleefully experiment with elaborate (often tedious!) glazing. I am inspired by textures found in nature and love making random and rhythmic patterns that accentuate the earthy qualities of clay. Most of the pots below are thrown stoneware, but you’ll also see a sprinkling of porcelain and handbuilt pieces (extruded and slab).

While I’m not producing new ceramic work at this time, I still have a small inventory of pieces for sale and a large collection of unique items I’m holding on to. Reach out if you want to take a look.
